Important
Health Tip: Remember to drink at least
8 or more glasses of pure water per day. This is especially important
during the summer months since it is easy for your to dehydrate your body and
are not aware of it because it is hot outside and could get heat exhaustion or
heat stroke. The more hydrated
your body is the smoother your skin is. Think of a flower without water and
that is how your body is without the proper amount of water. Your body is made up of 60 - 75%
water.

Disclaimer and notes:
While water is very important for your health, there
are some times when drinking too much water can be a problem:
If you have any kidney or adrenal problems,
or your doctor has you taking diuretics, you need to consult
with your doctor about how much water to drink each day
Don't drink all of the water you need per day
all at once. Divide the amount you need and drink several
glasses of water throughout the day. This is especially
important if you engage in lots of heavy exercise.
Infants should be given just formula or
breast milk unless your pediatrician tells you otherwise.

Tips On Care of Your Feet -
Foot Baths in
Waterto top
I will
present different types of foot baths every month. If you have a
medical condition, check with your doctor before trying these. I
am presenting these as a service to my clients to help them keep healthy
feet.
10 % of the total body is comprised by
the feet. Partial immersion of the feet up to the ankles or
calves, in either hot, cold, or tepid water causes reflex contraction in
many other parts of the of the body including the liver, head, and
pelvic organs. The body reaction to a cold foot bath is longer
lasting than to a hot foot bath.
THERAPEUTIC USES
For reflex
action on other organs.
To cause
contractions in other organs.
To divert
blood congestion from head, chest, or lower organs.
Use any of the following
dried herbs*:

Sage
or
Use any a few drops of these
essential oils:
Jasmine Rose Oil Mink Oil
Peppermint Spearmint Others Camphor
Tea Tree Arnica Eucalyptus Oregano Clary Sage
Frankincense Myrrh Marjoram
Mix herbs and place in
a small cheesecloth. Fill a bucket full with warm water for your feet and
add herbs. Soak away all the pains of the day! Make several at a time and
keep on hand after a long day.
*A few drops of scented oil may be used instead.

HOLISTIC AYURVEDIC NAIL CARE
Ayurveda literally means "science of life and longevity." and is considered
to be the traditional system of medicine of India. Ayurveda is a
science in the sense that it is a complete system. It is a qualitative,
holistic science of health and longevity, a philosophy and system of healing
the whole person, body and mind. The origin of this system goes back
to a far past, in which philosophy and medicine were not separated.
Therefore, philosophical views have strongly influenced the Ayurvedic way of
thinking. Ayurveda has considered about the diet in detail. The Ayurvedic
diet is one that not only nourishes the body, but also restores balance of
living life. When caring for your nails, I try to help you restore
balance and bring out your inner and outer beauty.
DETOXING & REJUVENATING FOOT
SOAK
NRG Works is a
bioelectrical
device that utilizes electricity and water to energize the body and enhance
its natural capacity to detoxify. When you soak your feet with NRG Works,
your body's bioelectric system matches the water, and a continuous circuit
flows between your body and the charged water. It's believed that most
toxins are positively charged when they reside in the body, they are then
attracted to the negative field of water, thus drawn out of the body through
the pores of the feet.
Lotions and Essential Oils Sold—peppermint is great!
Ergonomic Sandals or flip flops
Diabetic supplies and feet inspections
Note: Whenever you are working on one
foot, the other foot should be soaking in the warm water. If possible,
allow a half hour for the nails to dry completely.
Soak your feet in warm water for 10 to
15 minutes. Add Epsom salts or any other commercial foot soak.
Clip your toenails straight across
using a toenail clipper or scissors. Clipping straight across will
help prevent ingrown toenails.
File the toenails to smooth any rough
edges.
Push back your cuticles. Use a cuticle
moisturizer if they do not push back easily after soaking.
Massage your feet with a moisturizing
lotion. Use an exfoliating lotion if the skin is dry and/or roughened.
Use a loofah or pumice stone on roughened areas.
Separate your toes. Put cotton between
your toes, or use a ready-made device for pedicures.
Apply a base coat and give it time to
dry.
Apply polish, cleaning up any stray
marks with a cotton swab dipped in polish remover. Add a second coat
for deeper color.
Complete the pedicure with a top coat
of clear polish.
Without proper care, it is difficult to
maintain beautiful feet. They are one of the most neglected yet most used
part of your body. To keep them in fit and proper condition, you have to
pedicure them at least once a month.
Here is a compilation of pampering
pedicure tips from friends!
Coat feet with mink oil or cow
udder balm and wear a pair of cotton socks for a few hours or
overnight. This will soften them up, especially the heel area.
Coconut oil buffing cream or mink oil works great; add
the super overnight cream for super dry skin (looks like pink
Vaseline), wash it off with the body gel, then rinse, pat dry, and
apply lotion. It really works.
Soak in warm water with Skin-So-Soft
Bath Oil (Avon) for about 10 minutes. Use a pumice stone to take off
rough skin on heels, etc. Dry with towel and moisturize with lotion.
Trim nails, add nail polish, and your feet are sandal-ready.
Paraffin wax pedicures make your feet
extremely soft because your feet absorb the lanolin out of the wax.
Worth every dime.
I try to take care of my feet year
round. Foot soaks, oh, so nice if you have the time! While your feet
are still damp, rub them with a clean, dry washcloth or towel. This
will help remove any remaining dead skin and calluses.
Heat up approximately half a gallon of
whole milk and combine it with a little warm water. (Skim milk will not
work.) Heat to a warm, comfortable temperature and add a few drops of
almond (or vanilla) extract.
While the milk is heating, in a bowl
combine Epsom salt (coarse is best) and some canola oil to make a rough
paste. This will be used later as an exfoliating scrub.
When heated, empty the milk into a large
foot basin. Grab your favorite foot cream, a glass of wine, some scented
candles, a great book or magazine, a dry washcloth, and a rolled, warmed
fluffy towel from the dryer. Also bring a basket full of pedicure tools
and polish.
First file your toenails into a clean
square shape, then plunge those tired toes in your big bowl of milk and
soak for about 15 minutes. Using a handful of salt mixture, scrub your
ankles and feet, then go back into the soak. Coat the foot and ankle areas
with a thick body or foot cream. Push back cuticles and use your dry
washcloth to finish off any rough spots. Rinse off excess milk and remove
residue from nails before polishing; you can use a cotton ball with a
little witch hazel or cool water.
Polish starting with a good base coat,
then color, and top coat.
After a pedicure like that, you will feel
Mooo-ved! Imagine yourself in the next milk ad with a milk foot-stache!
Great scented oil of your choice (find
one at you local health store)
Polishes: base coat, top coat, color
Cuticle cream
Heavy foot cream or petroleum jelly
Orange sticks
Toe polishing separators or rolled
paper towels
2-3 fresh flowers, petals removed
Pitcher filled with warm (not too hot)
water
2 fluffy towels
Relaxation CD
Pot of herbal tea
Steps:
Heat stones by bringing water to a boil
around them. Heat for 3-4 minutes. Use tongs to remove from hot water and
place in the bottom of the foot bath. Wrap one fluffy towel around your
basin. Drizzle scented oil over the stones. Sprinkle petals in the bottom
of the basin. Add 1 inch of warm water.
Buff rough skin and file nails before the
urge to plunge overtakes you. Gently apply cuticle smoother into your
cuticles. Place feet on warm stones. Coat feet and legs with heavy cream
while massaging the bottoms of your feet with stones.
Pour the warm water from the pitcher into
the bowl and plunge feet. Push back and remove cuticle cream. Use smaller
rocks to apply pressure to heals and balls of foot. Have a cup of tea,
turn on the CD, and relax for a long time!
Dry feet with towel and clean toenails
with a light astringent. Polish with base coat, color and top coat for a
lasting memory of your hot rocks experience!
1–2 cups Kosher salt (available at your
grocery store) or Pure Granulated Sugar
2–3 squirts of grape or olive or almond or lanolin or jojoba or mink oil
2–3 squirts baby bath or moisturizing liquid body soap
Mix together!
Soak feet in tub or, while still in the
shower, apply a handful of scrub to each foot. Massage lightly, paying
close attention to heels, toes, top of feet and cuticles. Let it soak in
for several minutes before rinsing.
